In the early nineteenth century Samuel Reverend Ruggles brought the first coffee plant to Kona. Since that time, there are now over 600 Kona coffee farms in Hawaii. Kona coffee is known to be one of the most expensive and favored coffees in the world. The richness of the flavor can be attributed to the ideal coffee growing climate in Hawaii. Incidentally, if it did not come from the Kona regions, it can’t legally be called Kona coffee.
I’ve been hearing about how good Kona coffee is for some time now. I was a bit hesitant to try it since I could premium coffee for a much lower price. So my brother bought me a bag just so I could taste for myself how good real Kona coffee is. Suffice it to say, I’ll definitely be buying my next bag. Kona coffee is worth every penny.
