pineapple sauce

Ever since I was a kid, I love Chinese food. Since I’m not Chinese, my exposure to Chinese food was only the basics. I’m not even sure if what I was eating was authentic. All I know is every time I’m in a Chinese restaurant I had to eat sweet and sour pork. I love it so much, that I got a recipe of it so I can cook it. The trick to good sweet and sour pork is in its pineapple sauce.

I tried lots of recipes and I like the ones that use pineapple sauce to make it sweet instead of using sugar. It has just the right amount of sweetness as compared to sugar. It’s natural sweet and doesn’t have a bitter aftertaste that sugar has. Also, it’s not overly sweet and doesn’t overpower the taste of the pork. Now, I’m getting hungry.
