Because of the influx of instant millionaires the past twenty years, more and more people are enjoying the best the world has to offer. In terms of food, no other food will symbolizes wealth than caviar. The most expensive caviar is caviar from the Caspian Sea known as beluga caviar. It can cost you thousands of dollars per pound. If it’s too rich for your blood, try Spanish caviar.

Spanish caviar is very cheap compared to its elite cousins. It is considered the leading substitute to sturgeon caviar. It is also the most politically correct because sturgeon, more especially beluga sturgeon, are on the endangered list. Spanish caviar is harvested from herring from the Spanish coast and is packed under the trade name avrugan caviar. Avrugan caviar is a tasty with a slight smoky flavor.
