Organic meat

In organic farming, farmers endeavor to provide a supply of healthy food grown in non-traditional ways. In general terms, it means restricting the use of artificial chemical fertilizers and pesticides. It is a practice that also helps to rehabilitate the land for a more productive future cropping. In animal farming, animals are reared without the routine use of drugs, antibiotics and wormers common in intensive livestock farming.

Organic meat comes from animals that are fed a natural diet of grass, corn and other plant produce. Although they are given standard vaccines to prevent disease, they don’t get any artificial hormones or antibiotics. In the same manner, organic eggs and dairy products are derived from animals grown in such restricted environment. Some say that patronizing organically grown agricultural products is the only way of preventing genetically modified food from getting to our dinner tables. Consuming meats from free range animals is definitely better for our health.
